The cab of the new STRALIS HI-WAY is designed to increase the vehicle's aerodynamic penetration – one of the factors with most impact on energy efficiency.

For those who use their truck mostly on motorways, the specific aerodynamic kit, comprising adjustable roof spoiler and robust side deflectors, delivers a further 6% reduction in average fuel consumption.
The new STRALIS cab is designed around the driver. Class-leading ergonomics, comfort, safety and infotainment all provide an optimum work environment that maximises productivity.
Maximum driving comfort for everyone. As well as the pneumatic steering wheel adjustment system, the cab now features a new heated and ventilated seat with height-adjustable, integrated seat-belt.
All the cabs have been redesigned. At the top of the STRALIS range, the HI-WAY version for long-distance driving comes with a cab interior space of over 10 m3.
The night area now offers a completely new bunk, sure to make drivers feel at home wherever they are: 80 cm wide and over two metres long, it's equipped with wooden slats, a super-comfortable mattress and reclinable back-rest (ideal for short stops). Alternatively, there's a stowable bunk that folds in the middle and turns into a handy table.
Every feature of the new STRALIS is designed to improve the quality of on-board life: the new steering wheel features integrated telephone command functions, and the IVECONNECT system, with hi-fi radio and touch-screen display: this also manages the DRIVING STYLE EVALUATION function, the sat-nav system and the advanced telematic services.
An additional low-noise, low-consumption air conditioner is also available: built into the roof panel, this ensures a comfortable cab temperature even with the engine off.
The cab's interior has been completely re-designed: the new functional and ergonomic dashboard, made with the utmost attention to detail, uses top-quality, non-reflective, soft-touch materials. The controls have been re-positioned around the dashboard and central area, so as to make them more easily visible and reachable.

The fridge features a handy bottle-rack, and for the longest hauls a maxi-fridge can be installed, with a capacity of over 35 litres.

ASSISTANCE NON-STOP (ANS24): it's not necessary to activate a contract to benefit from this service, all you need is the IVECONNECT interface on board. With one click on the screen the driver can request assistance from the IVECO CUSTOMER CENTRE, which receives the vehicle's GPS location and a diagnosis of the cause of stoppage directly from the system.
EURO VI ENGINES. The new STRALIS range of Euro VI engines have higher displacement and torque for the same fuel consumption, thanks in part to the unique HI-eSCR system, a patented FPT INDUSTRIAL system that represents the latest state of the art in heavy-duty engine technology. Thanks to the outstandingly high efficiency (> 95%) of the HI-eSCR catalytic reduction system, the new STRALIS is the only heavy vehicle on the market that meets Euro VI limits without resorting to EGR. This represents a clear competitive edge over IVECO's competitors.
EURO V ENGINE. The new STRALIS uses Cursor FPT INDUSTRIAL engines with in-line 6-cylinder architecture, in three displacement variants (8, 10 and 13 litres) and eight diesel power variants (310 to 560 PS), plus three CNG variants (270 to 330 PS). These engines offer low fuel consumption and excellent performance, and deliver maximum torque from low engine speeds (from 1000 rpm upwards for the Cursor 13). Given the low number of gears, this flexibility translates into comfortable, energy-efficient driving.
The driver of a STRALIS model can count on a reliable, efficient braking system. The entire range (except models with double-reduction rear axle) is fitted with an electronic braking system (EBS) complete with Brake Assistant. Advanced safety systems play an indispensable role in safeguarding driver, vehicle and load. The new STRALIS gives drivers enhanced levels of safety and makes their work more relaxing and more efficient.

The new STRALIS can be fitted with various different suspension systems:

The parabolic suspension system is relatively lightweight and offers excellent ride comfort under all load conditions.
The air suspension system is equipped with ECAS (Electronically-Controlled Air Suspension) to keep the height of the frame constant in transit and to adjust it during loading, unloading and semi-trailer coupling operations.
